Meizu MX4 Pro Android Phablet

MEIZO

The company Meizu, which is known primarily for high-quality smartphones recently introduced a new flagship phone named MX4 Pro. The phone is really very nice and you can choose it in three different colors, namely black, gold and white.

The front of the device is the screen of 5.5 inches, front camera, speaker and mTouch button. On the left side there is a button to adjust the volume while on the upper side is located slot for headphones and key on / off. On the lower side of the speaker are located, v2.0 microUSB slot and a slot for lifting the rear cover. And finally on the back or on the lid is placed main camera with dual tone LED flash and of course the logo of the company.

Meizu MX4 Pro is made of metal, but the cover is plastic. Metal that is used in making the device has very similar characteristics as the material used in the production of aircrafts, which are very light weight and high in strength. And really is so because when you hold the phone in your hand it feels as light as a feather. Overall mobile phone is robust and very elegant which was prepared in high quality standards.

MX4 Pro comes with a beautiful 5.5 inch JDI OGS screen that is much better than 2K screen. Because there is a lot higher resolution which is normally 2560 x 1536, and at the same time lower power consumption. The screen uses NEGA negative LCD panel that in this combination provides about 546 PPI which is really impressive. A contrast ratio is 1500: 1 while the light is 450cd / m2.

And of course the screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating. Honestly, there is no need to spend too much words because the screen is really excellent and among the best – if not the best. In addition to excellent screen Meizu has once again managed to construct a larger screen fit in a smaller case and therefore screen-to-body ratio is  76.5% while the frame is very slim only 2.8mm.

When it comes to hardware MX4 Pro is on paper and in reality at the very top of the model. It’s based on Exynos 5 Octa chipset 5430, which consists of eight cores, where the first four gargling on speed 2 GHz, while the other four at 1.5 GHz. In addition, a built-in 3GB of RAM and a Mali T628 MP6 / 600MHz GPU. For storage there are three models available 16/32 / 64 GB –  non expandable because there is no memory card slot.

Exynos 5 Octa 5430 in this combination works very well, mostly all applications open quickly  and working very smoothly. In addition Meizu is too serious company that would correct the possible errors that can certainly be corrected with future upgrades. Also we tested Meizu MX4 Pro with several benchmark applications where it can be seen that the results are very good.

Meizu MX4 Pro – Benchmarks The results:

  • Antutu: 47.134
  • Antutu 3Drating Benchmark 5621
  • Geekbench 3 996/3322

  • Vellamo Multicore: 1324

When it comes to software Meizu MX4 Pro comes with Android v4.4.4 KitKat system that has been upgraded to Flymo 4.1 OS. The system is very fast and fluid. Flymo OS as the system is very easy and does not consume a lot of resources and offers several new features such as Smart Touch function that allows you to open the application while running in the background, which can indeed be very helpful.

Meizu wants that your smartphone is safe and is therefore installed mTouch button that has the same role as any other home key with a small difference, and that is embedded fingerprint scanner. This means that you can, if you wish, in the settings enable this function.

Given that the Meizu MX4 Pro only recently come on sale was to be expected that it will support almost all modern features like Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a / b / g / n / ac, which is dual-band, 4G LTE, WCDMA, NFC and GPS course. All functions work as they should. GPS also works great with no additional setup.

Like everything on this smart phone it also has a camera and a highly advanced hardware. Ar4 Pro has front and rear main camera where the front camera has a 5 megapixel OV5693 sensor. It also boasts with Blue glass optical filter and Face AE Light Boost technology. The main camera has a Sony IMX220 Exmor RS series 20.7 MP sensor with dual LED flash tone.

Image quality created with the front or rear camera is very good including video recording. It can record video in several formats such as 2160p @ 30fps and 1080p @ 30fps. Dual LED flash is very strong and well coordinated with the camera so that in the darkest areas can make a very good photos.

Ar4 Pro has a built-in battery with a declared capacity of 3350 mAh. After testing we can tell you that the battery is very good quality and not too far from the declared capacity. For active use of phone battery provides autonomy from approximately 9 hours, while for average use it can without any problem stand one day. Charging time of completely discharged cell phone takes about 2.5 hours with a charger 5V 2A which you receive in the package.

In conclusion we can say that Meizu MX4 Pro is an excellent smart phone. Boasts excellent build quality and of course very beautiful design. There is also a powerful hardware and a beautiful screen.
